Problem-Solving Workshop: Everything you Need to Know

What is included in our problem-solving workshop?

The contents of the problem-solving workshop slightly differ on a yearly basis. However, it usually includes the following: 

• A 1 hour problem-solving skills workshop 

• A 1 hour career chat, including: 

• Routes into law and Attwells’ apprenticeship program  

• Tips on applying for apprenticeships  

• Speaking to apprentices about a day in the life of an apprentice  

What can I gain from attending the workshop?

Our workshop has a lot to offer for Year 12 and 13 students, especially those looking to pursue a career in law. For example: 

• Provides you with an excellent insight into skills required for a role in the legal sector and helps understand the roles of legal professionals, including apprentices. 

• Provides you with a further insight into Attwells and our values as a firm and may help in deciding whether you would like to apply for further opportunities. For example, our work experience placement and apprenticeship schemes.  

• Can be added to your CV for future employers as a demonstration of problem-solving skills and networking 

• A chance to network with peers also interested in law  

• An opportunity to chat with our current apprentices who can you give you insider information about what it’s really like to be an apprentice at Attwells and how to create a strong application for apprenticeships. 

How can I prepare for the workshop?

We do not expect applicants to extensively prepare for the workshop. We provide everything for you, including any stationary required. 

 However, you might want to have a browse through our website, just to learn more about us as a firm and our core values.  

You may also like to think about some questions you may want to ask at the workshop which our apprentices may be able to answer for you.
